I got the newly released Diamond Celebration Aurora Figurine by Jim Shore, at the China Closet shop on Main Street. Jim Shore was in Disneyland on July 25 to sign the piece for Guests who bought it. The formal title of the piece is "A Tribute to Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration." Aurora is in her blue gown. The front part of her skirt is an image of the exit of Sleeping Beauty Castle with Walt and Mickey leaving Fantasyland. She is about 9.5 inches high, and costs $75. She is very stable standing on a hard flat surface.
I visited Disneyland on Sunday July 26, 2015. It was moderately crowded, and very warm. I was surprised once again by seeing the DL60 LE Aurora doll still for sale in the usual stores. I got a couple of limited edition pins that were released last Thursday, and also the newly released Jim Shore DL60 Aurora figurine. The Disney Princess Cameo Jeweled Tiaras by Arribas were already gone after one week. They were replaced by much smaller and less detailed children’s tiaras of the same Disney Princesses. There was a new Rapunzel snow globe, with a light up lantern inside the globe. There was also a new DL60 Sleeping Beauty Castle medium figure. Finally there was a new Snow White bracelet by Alex and Ani, in silver and gold tone.
