I scouted this spot using visual clues from other photographers. Of course no one want to give out their locations so I had to do some research. This spot is pretty intense. It will take a couple of visits before I will understand its character and how it wants to be photographed.
Tonight I shared this spot with another photographer brave enough to get on the rim of this blow hole. We are at the tail end of a high surf advisory, so standing in the midst of the waves surging in and out was really stressful. Luckily I exited the water right before a large set came crashing in. Maybe not enough to push me around, but definitely enough to drench me.
