This is the rest of the story to the Great Egrets departure!! He turned and went the other direction chasing this Green Heron from his perch!! The Greenie flies right toward me though the leaves and branches that I was trying to hide behind and lands right above my head!! Figured that he would quickly leave the perch when he saw me sitting there but had little regard for my presence! So you see…the Great Egret is hired and any time he wants to chase a Greenie toward me I might be willing to stop by the local store and bring along a nice sized fish for him/her!! The Greenie landed in the shadows when he flew up but eventually strolled out into the open! Photo was taken on Horsepen Bayou!!
